Two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication is a 6-digit code that changes every 30 seconds in an app on your phone. Even if someone knows your password, they can't sign in without your phone.
Turn it on
- Install an authenticator app: Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or any compatible app.
- In the portal, open turn on two-factor authentication (shown at the top if you don't have it yet).
- In the app, add an account and scan the QR code. If you can't scan it, type the key shown below it.
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows.
If you sign in with Google you can turn it on later; it is required to manage users and to load credentials.
If you change or lose your phone
Ask your company administrator (or TECDEX) for a new invitation. When you accept it you set your password and scan a new code.
